Standing on the Shoulders of Giants

I've just contacted Kip Macy, the person responsible for xen-i386, so that he can guide me in porting Xen to amd64.

Very cool. He has just requested the admin to create a FreeBSD Perforce account for me. I'll now be contributing code to The FreeBSD Project shortly. This is so cooooool... =)

My first contribution to FreeBSD

It's been quite some time since I've last updated my blog. I ought to make it a point to post at least once a week. :)

Anyway, I'm proud to have my small contribution committed to FreeBSD. This is the first of many contributions to come:

I've been itching to port Xen FreeBSD domU to amd64 (x86_64) for quite some time now. Very exciting task and lots of new things to learn. If only I can find enough free time. We've been in a crunch mode for quite some time now-- I barely even have time to shave and do my laundry. Now that SolidGate (a firewall/router product, aka Project Chopsuey) has been delivered, I'll see what I can do. =)
